At the heart of St Michael's worship are the Sunday services:

U Sunday Worship

U Holy Communion - 8 to 8.40 a.m.
Said Common Worship service in the Lady Chapel.

U Parish Eucharist - 10 to 11.20 a.m.
The main service is the 10 am Parish Eucharist which uses Common Worship liturgy.  There is a robed choir, music is drawn from a wealth of traditions with movement, drama and dance also important. St Michael's is rightly proud of its Walker Organ but services often also involve other instruments including the clarinet and flute.  The service is followed by coffee in the church.

U Sacred Space
On the third Sunday of the month, at 6 to 7.15 p.m., there is informal, contemplative worship in the Lady Chapel which attracts both current churchgoers and non-churchgoers.  This form of alternative worship, under the direction of clergy with creative lay input, is an opportunity to explore ancient and contemporary ways of drawing near to God.

U Other Worship

U Tuesday Eucharist - 10.30 - 11.15 a.m.
A delightful, peaceful said Eucharist service using Common Worship each Tuesday morning in the Lady Chapel.

U Celebrating Common Prayer
Morning Prayer, from “Celebrating Common Prayer” a version of the Franciscan Daily Office, will be said everey day from Monday to Saturday.  Open to all whether you wish to come regularly or from time to time.

Daily, Monday to Saturday                                                      8.30 - 8.55 a.m.

U Anointing and Prayer for Healing and Wholeness
Nine times a year
- at three of our 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday services, three of our Tuesday 10 30 a.m. services and three special services - we honour Jesus’ command to “preach the gospel and heal the sick” by offering in addition to the healing sacrament of communion the opportunity, for all who wish, to receive anointing and prayer for healing and wholeness.

U Compline
During Advent and Lent
the ancient monastic order of Compline is said at 7.30 p.m. in the Lady Chapel, using either Common Worship or Book of Common Prayer liturgy.  Lay-led.
